MY NEW FRIENDS..TQ

salam....

alhamdulillah...finally and safely delivered a cute little boy on 9 July 2009 (normal delivery) @ 8.27 p.m (uk time)...2.45kg at Heath Hospital, Cardiff..no name yet.......Thanks to all of the supports and prayers....

My special thanks goes to all of the Dr and midwives that really gave their full efforts in order to make me safely delivered without any complications...during the 4 days in the maternity ward, they were very helpful and gave the first class services without no doubt...Thanks again ...

now..i'm trying to get some rest and hopefully will be blogging by the next few weeks..already miss the blogwalking already....anyway, thanks again...
p/s...picture will be upload later on....not surprise just got no time.....

salam guys...

it seems that i'll be going off for a few weeks starting today onwards (actually for confinement period..hik).......then, will be quite busy till this Thursday to prepare for the needs of our new born baby.....i'll be getting an induce labour (starting the labour artificially and not naturally...senang cakap, paksa sakitlah! ) this Thursday due to the concerns of the Doctors about my baby's situation at the moment....

FYI also guys, i just got back from the hospital as i had an appointment with the Fetal Medicine Unit (specialist for fetal) this morning....turned out that my baby seems still has problem with the kidney and at the same time, the amniotic fluid is lacking (not in the right amount)...so the Dr suggested for early labour which is on this Thursday so that any problems arise after delivery will be detected ASAP......and i agreed with that decision...hopefully everything goes well and i'll be seeing u dear friends with a great news in the next few days/ weeks, insyaAllah..AMIN...

~ Doakanlah semuanya dipermudahkan dan selamat~

~Hik~

salam...

guess what??...alhamdulillah, finally....my beloved baby turned to the right position by himself yesterday...well, no ECV needed and the Dr did mention....that the possibility of my baby to be breech again is there...but me and hubby will always pray that the naughty one in the tummy is going to be a good boy!!!!.....

lately...heartburn is killing me...every single thing that i ate especially the ones that is hot and spicy really put me in pain..hence, that kind of meals was the best to eat right now...:)....

The weather also....lately in cardiff quite hot (huh..Msia lg panas)....and we do using fan (quite surprisingly coz i thought the weather is going to be breezy all along the summer..nope i guess!) at night to sleep as the kids didn't sleep really well....we assumed because it's too hot.....

note: no proof reading so pls put aside all the grammatical error..still learning and improvise!.....but i do enjoy jot down in english!!!..practice makes perfect,right??...

salam readers....

i'm going for ECV appointment this afternoon at the Heath Hospital or known as University Hospital of Wales.....maybe u guys are wondering what is this ECV stuff...well, for those who had never heard about it ( i believe in Msia , the Government has already practise this procedure because i had been offered one during my second baby) ....just want to share some info about ECV or External Cephalic Version procedure......This procedure was suggested by the one of the Dr during my previous check-up because my baby was still in the breech position at that time (till now i think coz i still can feel that the baby's head is right up in the belly...hik..)...well, as the procedure has been offered to me so why don't i give it a shot, right...hopefully everything goes well...i do pray a lot for this procedure to be success.....AMIN...

~The Choice is OURS....~

External Cephalic Version (ECV)

What is the problem?
Your baby is the wrong way round in your uterus. The correct position for delivery is with your baby’s head down towards the neck of your uterus, called your cervix. About three in 100 (3%) babies are breech presentations, meaning their bottoms are closest to the cervix. Alternatively, your baby may be in a transverse position. In this position your baby lies from side to side across your abdomen. Both of these positions are abnormal presentations. There are many reasons why this happens but quite often the cause is not clear.

What is an external cephalic version (ECV)?
This is a procedure to turn your baby around so that it is in the correct position for delivery. It is usually done around week 37 of pregnancy. During an ECV an obstetrician will gently move your baby by pressing their hands on your abdomen.

What has gone wrong?
Reasons for an abnormal presentation include:

~ Abnormal shape of your uterus - A normal uterus is shaped like an upside down pear. Occasionally, the uterus is heart shaped or partially divided into two, called a bicornuate uterus. If your uterus has an abnormal shape this may stop your baby from lying in the correct position.
~ Too much fluid around your baby - Your baby is surrounded by a liquid, called the amniotic fluid. If there is too much fluid, especially near the end of pregnancy, your baby may keep turning. Your baby is then more likely to end up in an abnormal position.

~ Low-lying placenta - The afterbirth is also called the placenta. Placenta previa is a condition where your placenta lies low in your uterus. This may be in the way, stopping your baby from lying in the correct position.

~ Fibroids - These are non-cancerous lumps, sometimes found in the muscle wall of the uterus. They may be in the way of your baby.

~ The stage of the pregnancy - In early pregnancy many babies are in the breech position. They usually turn around near the end of the pregnancy but some do not.

Several causes for abnormal presentation also prevent a successful ECV. For instance, if you have a bicornuate uterus we will not offer you an ECV, as it may not be possible to turn your baby.

Commonly there is no clear reason for your baby to be lying in an abnormal position. It is for these cases that we usually offer an ECV. Discuss the reason for your baby’s abnormal presentation and the possibility of having an ECV with your obstetrician.

The benefits
The safest way to deliver a breech baby is through a cut in your abdomen, called a Caesarean section. A successful ECV can allow you to avoid this and have a normal vaginal delivery.

Are there any alternatives?
If your baby stays in a breech position we usually advise delivery by Caesarean section. Some obstetricians may be willing to deliver a breech presentation vaginally.

Who should not have the procedure?
We will not consider you for an ECV if:

~ you have a multiple pregnancy, such as twins or triplets
~ you have bleeding before the delivery, called an antepartum haemorrhage
~ your placenta is low-lying, called placenta previa
~ you need a Caesarean section for another reason regardless of presentation
~ your membranes have already ruptured
~ there is a severe fetal abnormality
~ there is no amniotic fluid surrounding your baby.

We may consider you for an ECV if:

~ you have had a previous Caesarean section
~ you have high blood pressure, called hypertension
~ your baby has restricted growth (IUGR)
~ you are obese.

What if you do nothing?
Without an ECV your baby may still turn by itself. If it does not turn you will usually have a more difficult labour with more risks and complications. You may need a Caesarean section to deliver your baby. Carefully discuss your options with your obstetrician.

salam...

lately malasnyerr nak update blog...tp nanti bersawang dan berhutan bagai plak..hik!...apepun, demi readers (cewahhhh...perasan nak mati la ni!) aku kuatkan diri jugak utk menaip...boleh gittew??.......hari ni nak cter pasal persediaan nak bersalin...so far, alhamdulillah.....semuanya dah ader..persediaan aku serba sederhana...almaklumlah, kat tmpt orang pastu nak membeli sakan kat sini, bukannya murah pun....kebanyakan barang beli kat car boot especially brg2 utk baby pakai (murah, berkualiti dan masih baru...so tak rugi membeli)...wise spendinglah gamaknya...:)

cuma kat sini...bukan boleh sebarang2 jerrr...aku byk bertanya pengalaman kengkawan yang ada experience bersalin kat sini so sedikit sebanyak....persediaan tu ikut apa yang patutlah...diorang kat sini especially midwives yg akan dtg jenguk nanti sangat particular dengan penjagaan baby tau....nak tidurkan baby pun kena ada baby cot....nak letak baby dalam keta, kena ada infant carrier....baby bukan boleh sebarangan tidur dgn maknya (diorang takut silent death...almaklumlah, Mat Saleh ni ada yg alcoholic/smoker so kalau tidur ngan baby, maunya dihempap baby, dah penat bukannya sedar pun!....ini bukan aku ckp tau tp pengalaman midwives kat sini...)

berbalik pd persediaan nak sambut baby ni...aku dah ada infant carrier (beli kat Car Boot...masih baru...Graco...£13...kalau nak beli baru, paling murah boleh dapat mencecah ratus £ jugak tau)....sejibik cam gambor ni....alhamdulillah, rezeki anak..

pastu, aku beli jugak moses basket...in case nak pakai....car boot jugak le..dapatlah £5..kalau nak beli baru around £39-59 jugak.....cuma skang ni takde kakinya lagi.....kaki basket ni ada yang boleh goyang dan statik...kalau nak beli baru around £15-30...

pasal tmpt baby tidur plak, skang ni aku dah ada swinging crib (pinjam kat orang jerr...nanti baby dah 2-3 bulan, pulang balik...tk to the owner)....tp biler dok tanya kat kengkawan, depa kata kena pakai baby cot jugak coz nanti midwife tak bagi punyerlah!...;(...kenalah mencarik jugak...kalau nak beli (mmhhh....tak berbaloi la plak!)......hopefully, dapatlah pinjam kat sesaperr...kalau nak beli baru???...boleh je..tp beli IKEA punya...

aku nie setakat cuci mata jer, bolehlah....stroller paling mahal beli pun utk anak RM 200...itupun rase mahal sangat, maklumlah kat msia jarang pakai...macam kat sini, mmg kitorang pakai everytime nak berjalan.....so mmg sampai ke akhir hayat stroller tulah gamaknya akan digunakan.....

next entry...persediaan aku dan baby la......kay..adios...
